Who is DAvid?
How do you describe what you do to someone you meet at a dinner party?
Oh, we build awesome, one-of-a-kind stands and displays for collectors who take their pop culture memorabilia very seriously. You know that person with a life-size Iron Man helmet or a rare action figure they’d run into a burning building for? Yeah, I make sure their treasures have a display worthy of their passion. Also, if we share nerdy interests, there's a 100% chance I'll talk your ear off.
What are you known for?
Loud nerdy shirts, an undying love for Marvel, and geeking out over superheroes. If you see someone in a room wearing a Star Trek hoodie and talking animatedly about vintage collectibles, that’s probably me.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
Back in the ’90s, I was a touring children’s entertainer, yes, really! I even had a concert video for sale. Picture me on stage, probably in a bright vest, singing and dancing for a bunch of hyped-up kids. Good times.
What's the most rewarding part of your work?
Seeing someone light up when they see their finished display, that’s the best part. Whether it's a custom-lit showcase for a rare comic or a stand that makes their prized statue look even more epic, I love creating things that make people feel something.
What's your personal mantra?
I’m proud to be a nerd! (And if you’re a nerd too, we’re already friends.)
Why should someone work with you over another stand maker?
Because I don’t just make displays, I get what makes them special. I know what it’s like to treasure a collectible, and I want to create something that makes you say, “This is perfect.” Also, I’m probably as excited about your collection as you are.
How would your clients describe you?
A little ADHD? Definitely. Outgoing? Absolutely. Passionate, friendly, and maybe a little weird, but in a fun way!
